Pros

The coworkers are great and it makes going to work not as dreadful knowing that you will get to chat with friends all day. The job itself was easy. When it was dead you didn't have to do much and when it was busy the hours flew by. Free movies for you and your family. Bring a friend to see a movie in IMAX and you just saved $34. They had no problem with you trading shifts with a coworker. You didn't even really have to tell them beforehand, just as long as that person showed up for you, you were good. This also enabled you to rack up a lot of hours. Many people were willing to give up unwanted shifts, so even if you got scheduled 20 hours that week, you could easily turn that into 40.

Cons

STUBS. Management threatening you if you don't sell an adequate amount of memberships. The stress wasn't worth $7.25/hr. The hours were bad too. I used to have a life, but when I started working here I was scheduled almost every Friday and Saturday til 1 or 2 in the morning. I missed going out and partying. No overtime and no holiday pay. Is that even legal?! Sometimes I would be scheduled over 40 hours per week (even though I was a part-time employee?) and receive no extra pay. It's going to take a lot more than minimum wage to get me to miss being with my family on Christmas so I can get yelled at by someone whose "popcorn is too salty." No breaks. If I'm working 8 or 9 hour days, I deserve a break, even a 15 minute one, but not according to AMC.

Pros

The best thing about working here is you get to watch free movies. Who doesn't want to watch free movies.

Cons

Down falls for working with AMC is they are horrible. Management don't seem to care about there employees and when personal things come up in life. You miss a shift your FIRED.

Pros

Working there gives you a lot of experience in customer service and sales. They can be flexible with your schedule. You have the oppurtunity to work with some fun people and make friends. The free movies, employee discount, and employee stubs membership is a plus.

Cons

-Lack of communication from management. I've been written up for something that I never even knew was a rule, turned out half the staff never even knew about it and I refused to sign it because I was never informed previously. -Pushing for us to sell the Stubs membership is being taken overboard. Not only can you be fired for not selling stubs, the management sent out a message stating that the amount of employees hours per week will be earned from their stub sales. So basically sell Stubs like crazy or you get no hours. Well thats difficult since the market is saturated! Not to mention the management breathes down your neck everytime your on a register to sell memberships. - Lack of respect from management towards employees. Some will treat you like your a dime a dozen. -If you have little job experience I highly recommend looking for a easy retail job that will save you the stress.
