Pros

You can make good money bartending. Also being able to see movies early is a plus. You can get your bartending experience here and move on to another bar after a couple years

Cons

You need the managers for EVERYTHING. Managers are the only ones who can get you more alcohol, or supplies. Supervisors don't even have keys to unlock your cabinets in the morning. The materials they use to make the bar are cheap/low quality. Our tap tower is loose, the catch tray is to small and the whole thing blocks impedes your view of the customers because it's in the middle of the bar top. Whoever designed the bar lay out must have never bartended or asked if the design was good because, WHO PUTS A WELL RIGHT INFRONT OF THE TAPS?!

Pros

Free meals, Free movie tickets, 401k and medical benefits are great. The pay was great. My GM was an awesome man, and he helped out more than Ive ever seen a GM do.

Cons

The free movie tickets are only for the family that live in you house. Would be nice if you could take your child that may not live with you on their birthday, or a neice or nephew when a kid movie comes out. Being in management there is no support to hold the team accountable. I saw no call no shows and the fear of unemployment was crazy. I thought when you didnt come to work or call, you were voluntarily quitting, not at AMC. Many of the great people I was able to bring to the team quit, because they were having to carry the team that was always on a break or no call no show. There is no room to advance in this company unless you go to another state.

Pros

*Free Movies. *Tips if working as a Bartender. *Management have great people skills. *Management has been able to effectively create a balance in cooperation among the crew.

Cons

*Scheduled by week basis, you won't know your schedule until 1-2 days before it starts. *Purposely over employed to make sure entire crew's hours are low so that they can cut the cost of benefits. They advertise this as "flexibility" but it only makes it flexible for them. *Hours vary between 4-23 hours a week. The lower end being more common. *Higher management (corporate) not caring about the wellbeing of current employees. *No attempts at a work/life balance, unless mandated by the law. *Changing Full Time positions to Part Time positions to cut costs. *No Holiday compensation. *Even if employeed as a Bartender, they force you to work positions of the film crew. You should only work here if you can start off as a Manager or higher up. Even then there is still no attempts of a work life balance unless you are a General Manager or higher.
