      Excellent dedicated production team, but revolving door in management

      Pros

      Production team (assy and test) all have worked there for 10+ years and are the most dedicated people I have encountered. They are very knowledgable and willing to work hard to meet production goals.

      Cons

      If you are a temp, they take a long time to convert to permanent status (if they decide to convert you.) There is always turnover in upper management which makes things difficult. Each person comes in with different metrics, requirements and expectations and it felt like we had to start over each time a new manager stepped in.

      Pros

      Ametek is an interesting company that tries to keep it's employees engaged by offering safety incentives. The Quality of work there is second to none. They are an ISO 9000/2000 organization.

      Cons

      Ametek does not give very generous pay increases. There is little to no cross-functional training. They need a better Sales force to capture more Government contracts.
