Mission oriented. Caring and compassion meted out to patients and employees alike. Training opportunities are available for all staff to take advantage of.

Cons

The Company recently affiliated with another larger healthcare organization. It has had an unsettling effect on staff with many layoffs. It is expected that the bottom line will be healthier but the mission may be lost.

Pros

Work at the Elk Grove Hospital. The people that work there are dedicated and caring. Many have been there over the years and have seen many changes. The care that they provide to the patients comes from the heart.

Cons

Since Ascension took over, the employees are nothing but numbers - they want top work, out of the minimum amount of staff allowed. You seldom see management on the units, yet they keep coming up with more work that you can do,. They have all lost touch with the real workers. Use to be fun to come to work and you were proud of where you worked -now it is just a job......
