Pros
The pay here is outstanding. I'm not sure how AMR can afford to pay their employees so much. It's probably because they pay employees in other parts of the country so little.
Cons
The conditions of their vehicles are terrible. Most of them have have well over 200k miles. The air conditioning is subpar and that's difficult in the Texas heat. Needed equipment is often missing from ambulances. Management is useless. If you can get them to answer the phone, they rarely have a viable solution for you. The company will not work with you on scheduling. They most recently changed the schedule a week before Christmas leaving many people scrambling to find coverage for days they assumed they had off. There is a shortage of employees and they refuse to allow people to work part time.
