Pros

Primary 911 response and mostly modern protocols.

Cons

Unsupportive management. Yes people are the only ones who make it into management. Unreal expectations of crews. Regional centralized dispatch who is never familiar with your response area. Poor deployment plans and staffing which often times leave the community under served and drastically increase response times. Poor working relationships with local fire departments.
