Benefits are outstanding and some coworkers awesome.

Cons

Management. Toxic work environment no hopes for advancement unless you are considered a favorite. High school atmosphere as far as clicks among higher ups and certain staff members. Burns out good employees and will push out older employees with nonsense write ups and lack of appreciation for loyalty.

Pros

The organization has a great mission and is very helpful to animals. Pretty good health and time off benefits. There's always cute cuddly animals around.

Cons

Very low pay and it's easy to get let go. Open positions are always filled from outside the company and there's little room for growth, unless you're apart of a very small clique. Upper management is entitled and unappreciative of the efforts of the administrative staff.

You'll meet a lot of caring veterinarians, veterinary technicians and assistants. Really lovely people are drawn to the cause.

Cons

They've had horrifically terrible management for the last 10 years. Unfortunately, it trickles down from the top and they've never made any real effort to improve. Extremely high turnover and no room for growth.
