Pros

AT&T has opened my world to possibilies! AT&T has a career platform that is rich in opportunity. It provides so many areas of interest you have the stay with one company and work in very different and challenging roles throughout your entire career.

Cons

The big corporate environment can make you feel like a number if you let it. You have to take control and drive your career. Get engaged and have a vision for what you see your career as. This is now a check in and check out job. You checkin and live it to make a difference.

Pros

There's a job with AT&T for pretty much any profession. Want to be a philanthropist? Join their community outreach team. Want to be a mechanic? Join their connected car division. The pay is great and it seems to me that the management structure is very cut and dry and simple to understand with huge opportunity for growth and upward movement.

Cons

No sick days. At all. You're given 8 days (1 day = 1 point) throughout the year to miss work, for any reason, then it's immediate termination. The trick is that, after 5, you're on "write up" status and can be terminated for anything. 6 minutes or more late to work is .25 points. More than 29 minutes is .5 points. 120 minutes is a full point. Good luck. :)

Pros

AT&T offers a very generous compensation. The benefits, bonuses are wonderful and there are ample opportunities to make a tremendous name for yourself in the community.

Cons

The Leadership. Negative, back-biting, good old boys, who only promote "those who can help them become the next Director or State President." Let me be clear, they do not value hard work, loyalty, years of experience, relationships. KPI bonuses are not based on who "actually" does the best work or work product. It's based on whomever is most popular or perceived to be "the flavor of the week." There is so much back-stabbing and back-biting, you should get combat pay just to work here. Even at the President and EVP level, they could care less about anyone less than a level 3. They'll have you do all the work, then just take your name off to take the credit. If you even think of pushing back...expect to be pushed out.
