There is continuous fear of being let go due to downsizing. The perception is downsizing is due to poor upper management decisions that have wasted huge sums of money. The benefits continue to diminish each year. The perception is that upper management, through their actions, views employees at the middle level as interchangeable numbers (not people valued for their contribution).

constantly changing comp structure, no scheduling preference without tenure (you have to wait until someone else gets hired under you before you have any scheduling flexibility), unrealistic attendance point system (7 points for rolling calendar year, 1 absence=1 point, 15 mins late=.25 point), pressure to be unethical by management (urged to not be forthcoming with terms and conditions of sales in order to hit sales goals.
