Pros

Money benefits training great co workers and then it falls off.

Cons

The cons where to start as a field tech you will work 365 days a year just depends which days you will be forced to comply with to local rules that management puts into place i.e right now we're not allowed to have drinks in our cup holders in the truck they will expect you to run fast numbers and do quality work all the time. Running fast and doing quality work is not hard if you know what your doing but when customers call in about they're bill and they roll a truck yes that's your fault when a piece of equipment that's been refurbished 12x fails again your fault and when there's an outage due to provisioning yes you got it your fault. Not to mention if you have a bad day be prepared to explain to your manager why you were less the 90% efficient despite the fact your 112% efficient for the month oh and you never know when your going home so don't make plans. Randal will make sure he gets every penny from you. He needs a new maybach

Pros

They pay well and good benefits

Cons

Awful awful awful management, from the very top to the department directors. Nobody has a clue how to manage anything at all. The Labs are gone. They used to be the crown jewel of the company. They have completely destroyed the Labs in the last 5 years. I doesn't exist anymore. I would suggest getting a job in TX, cause that is where all employees will be in 5 years. They won't be in NJ anymore. Count on it. Constant closing of offices. No job security. Telecommuting gone. Why would anyone stay here? I'm glad I got out. So many people have left in the last 3 years. They can't keep anybody.

Pros

Phenomenal pay. Great benefits. Room for advancement is great. I have been with AT&T for over 5 years. I started as a Retail Sales Consultant and was promoted to an Assistant Store Manager. I was an ASM in 3 different locations and I was promoted in December to the RSM position. I moved all within a 3 hour drive. I left the company for about a year and I can honestly say the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Cons

Work life balance as an RSM can be nonexistent at times. Some managers decide to make their own schedule and that creates a disengaged sales staff. As managers when we preach the "schedule is the schedule" we need to live by those rules. But I can understand that when we are salary and putting in 50-60 hours a week its very easy to make our own schedule just to get time back during the week.
