Excellent Company with strong leadership

Pros

With ATCC being both a smaller company than the other biotech giants in the are and a non-profit company there are a number of advantages working here. The senior leadership team is engaged, responsive and listens to the employees. Larger companies often place you at the whims of decisions made by people who have never set foot at your site. Additionally, I have never felt a disconnect between leadership and the reality on site. The company is on solid ground and is much more resistant to economic pressures than other companies that must meet profit margins or drive stock prices for shareholders. Since much of the work is government, I have found that the company maintains appropriate staff to execute the work that is asked of them and will not ask to 'do more with less.'

Cons

Benefits package and bonus targets are not as strong as the larger companies.
