      "Shoddy Management"

      Pros

      Alot of really good people to work with at the floor level. Good pay and benefits before the company decided to try to destroy the contract.

      Cons

      Upper management is out of touch with what is going on in the mills. CORPORATE GREED. They need some people that have worked their way into management from the floor level employees, not just all lawyers running a company.

      Pros

      Great proving ground for young engineers, maintenance supervisors, and operations supervisors. You will learn a lot and meet very intelligent people, some of whom are eager to teach.

      Cons

      Strong culture of nepotism...good ol by attitude...technical people not appreciated or taken seriously...Corporate HR is comprised of lawyers who are out of touch with employees and have very high opinions of themselves...no career paths...you will be pigeon-holed...expressed desire to advance met with contempt...corporate greed culture...

      Pros

      The company sells to interesting markets and customers with a strong materials science group to support. The products, global competition and customers create an exciting mix that is intellectually stimulating.

      Cons

      The 'good ole boy' network is killing off the folks that get the work done and would like to have career advancement as part of their professional life. The work-life balance is non-existent as the company operates with a skeleton crew to try and appear financially healthy at quarterly conference calls. The culture is broken.
