Pros

If you are a white extroverted male willing to simply do as you are told, it works out just great and you will probably make a good income. They say to challenge the status quo and they encourage a questioning attitude, however, when you do it, you are met with organizational resistance and become an outcast...

Cons

Lack of integrity throughout leadership (i.e. saying they will do something and then don't from an individual and organizational level) Constantly changing business strategy which leads to confusion and a belief that it is just another "flavor of the month" Misrepresented values that don't match actions (i.e. Diversity is a value yet look at the board of directors and top leadership within the business units) Vague position titles that don't match the actual job (i.e. process specialist = no one knows what this means internally and externally) Subjectivity in who and how people get promoted (white tall males that are "yes men" seem to be the best suited for higher positions at ATI) They do a bunch of internal activities that make it look like they are a good company but when you are involved in those activities you start to realize that it is all one big show and lots of puppets. Sucks when you find out that you have been played, for years. Don't get a job here. You will lose your soul and forget all of the good you have inside yourself and replace your self awareness with long, useless procedures that you will wish you had simply taken a different job in a better city. Even if it paid less. Not worth wasting the best years of your life.

Pros

Above average pay for manufacturing jobs. Quarterly bonuses. Overtime is available often. 401-K has excellent options and above average company match. Safety is always discussed and safety equipment is readily available and provided by the company. Extra breaks are allowed during the summer due to heat. Lots of room for movement within the company.

Cons

It's a hot job during the summer and cold during the winter. There's lots of physical handling of heavy metal. You are on your feet for 12 hours a day. Overtime is sometimes mandatory. It is sometimes stressful due to the problems and dangers it can cause in the melting process if proper welding techniques were not followed.

Pros

Decent wages and benefits.

Cons

Employees are exited from the company, regardless of performance, when their tenure and experience takes them to the top of their pay grade. They have eliminated the positions of dozens and dozens of people in one day multiple times (not union/reclaimable jobs but non-union reductions that are straight up terminations) yet at the same time are hiring. On your way out you pass the folks waiting to interview.
