Pros

Sundays off! The latest you will stay on a Saturday is 5:30PM! The bonuses (if you are reaching 100+ new customers and GAP bonus) can be very high, my highest commission check was 500$ and then a NCD bonus for 100 and a Gap bonus for 300 (total was 900$). In your downtime you can hang out with customers, decorate the showroom, build product, clean tables, etc. The sales process is simple, and once trained it is a very simple job. It is a good transition from basic retail and cashiering to something with more status.

Cons

TOO many chiefs, not enough indians. Besides the pt's (delivery guys) you are the lowest and most overworked position in the store. You're first up for phones, paperwork, and any customer who comes in to the store with little to no help from your sales manager or gm, even when it's slammed. The store size is very small usually no more than 8 workers total in a store so if you don't get along with everyone it's a very difficult time. Managers are all, yes all, fat and lazy and have a problem with getting off their fat butts to deal with or resolve a customer issue.

Pros

I enjoy dealing with the public. Through Aaron's I have helped thousands of customers own merchandise that they may otherwise have difficulty obtaining.

Cons

Unfortunately, If you are looking to move up and you're a top performer, think again. With exception to a few rare occurrences, players play and individuals that are easily replaced are usually promoted in to multi unit roles. Not that you can't make a solid living as a GM, the earning potential has no cap.

Pros

Not having to have a gym membership while staying fit on the job, problem solving, learning the area you deliver to, customer service is able to be built strong, decent benefits, employee discounts on merchandise, 1 hr break in a 6+ hr day, PT Rodeo (competition of PT"s)--- if you go to the finals, you get flown to GA paid, conference resort, prize in resort (I got a 700$ tablet), paid food, and activities for 3 days, becoming top PT -- 1 week with managers Vacation with significant other, everything paid and in 2014 the prize for being top PT was 1,500$... out of about 5-6k PT's competing against.

Cons

Turnover rate for this position is high, work out in the sun/heat/rain, being overbooked for the day by managers and then they ask why it all couldn't be done time and time again. Rush Hour traffic, dealing with cars that cut you off a lot. Ignorant customers/people, rude attitudes not caused by you but others who had miss-communicated information, always running a risk of hurting yourself on the job moving/carrying furniture/appliances
