Pros

None unless you enjoy ripping people off and getting them into further debt that they cannot afford the over inflated payments to own the merchindise

Cons

Lets get this out of the way I went into this job knowing I would only be there until I could find a better paying job. There job title is deceiving there is no training for a management position, your a bill collector plain and simple. You work stupid hours like 11 am until 9 pm your day starts out with a call through "People who are late on their payment which is about 95 percent of them" even if your 1 day late expect a phone call to your house work and your friends, this all about leaving the customer the embarrassment factor, then you clean reposed merchandise that has bedbugs or other filth on them all this while dressed in a polo and khakis you have to buy your own polo's which cost between 25-35$ a piece and you have to have at least 3 and your always buying new pants because of the stains you get from the lift ramp on the truck .I did the bare minimum to get through the day this place flat out sucks the employees where the biggest thieves writing out fake leases to their friends and then splinting the difference with them happens all the time, if your not in on it then your talked about behind your back worst job ever Im glad I screwed abound for 3 months waiting for the job I wanted all along to open up the jokes one you aarons. Oh yeah they want you to bang on doors at night until 9pm in the worst parts of town

Pros

Salary after you become GM. Discount on furniture, specially mattresses.

Cons

Hours (they are not long but let say as a GM you open the store at 8 am and you close the store after last truck gets back at 9 pm) Pressure from regional because he is getting rammed by VP. Consistant changes in renewals procedure. Inventory, audits preparation, deposits before 12 pm, etc etc As a GM you have no control and everything is dictated by RM. Loading, unloading and collection specially returns of furniture from upset customers is a huge issue. No diversity. Its always who you know compare to what you know.

Pros

The money was fair and there was a LOT of work to be done. I wasn't bored. There is room for growth if you are tough as nails and want to fly solo. Good environment for the blustering, hard boiled types.

Cons

Communication. Non-existent at times. My boss wouldn't reply to important e-mails and I wouldn't hear from him for long periods. I would hear important news from third parties by chance. Job Security. Make a mistake or become even temporarily irrelevant and you are toast. I worked there three years and saw many good people fired without warning. Culture. Ruthless, brutal, non-encouraging atmosphere. Employees have a sense of dread. Afraid to say anything or take any risks because they have seen lots of people lose their jobs for trivial reasons. This company is a soul killer. It's NOT worth the money.
