Pros

The reason that I took the job with aarons was to become a GM. the process usually takes about a year and a half if you are successfull on both the Accounts and Sales side. I am less than a month away from having my own store.

Cons

the hours are long and sometimes hard. The starting pay is very low, do not take a job with Aarons unless you have long term goals for a career.

Pros

cool company attitude...good ol southern boys network NO SUNDAYS very easy job.......not very physical Fellow employees seem to be happy......not alot of disgruntling

Cons

The only negative thing I can say is why i left, I'm not a debt collector. Whenever you see a Aarons truck, more than likely they are going to knock on doors of people who are past due on thier account. Yes they make deliveries, but every morning for 3 hours and every evening for 3 hours, all the trucks are out "running'.......knocking on doors in an effort to collect on past accounts. I did not understand why this company spent 90% of its effort on it's worst 10% customer base.......Never knew if I was gonna get shot or assaulted in some of the rougher 'hoods........not a safe profession

Pros

- Management is great! Everyone is helpful top to bottom and willing to help. - Pay is decent, could be better. General Manager pay is very good. - Excellent and consistent business model nation wide, even with the franchise stores.

Cons

- Hours could be better. - Customer base is low income, which can lead to some less than respectful people and situations. - Field Calls can be a bit dangerous.
