Pros

Leadership is open and transparent with their employees and the culture is very laid back and relaxed. It really feels that your coworkers, bosses, and leadership wants you to be there and wants you to enjoy your time at the company. They’re especially great about showing appreciation for employees and encouraging growth through dozens of career paths available throughout the company.

Cons

Like most companies, Abacode has moved to a full/partial remote work structure due to COVID and in turn has lost an edge in its culture. However, leadership is doing all they can to correct this by emphasizing team communications, happy hours, and encouraging trips to the office when/if employees feel safe and healthy.

Company idea is great, but Internally it’s messy.

Pros

Company has a really great concept that they are trying to grow that could be a really huge addition to MSSPs in the security world. Company is slowly starting to realize that they need to treat people better before they burn out and adding competitive PTO and benefits but still has room to grow.

Cons

Biggest one: asks current employees to leave good reviews on Glassdoor which doesn’t necessarily fix any of the internal issues. Has someone in HR that is involved in way too much of the company and shares things that definitely shouldn’t be shared with people. Forces people to wear multiple hats and creates burnout without the compensation needed to make up for it. Sometimes has the “let’s throw a pizza party to fix the issues” mentality instead of really trying to fix the problems internally. Adds/pays for directors and managers but doesn’t add any more technical staff to help manage the growth. Has almost as many board of directors as they do technical staff.
