Pros

The email security problem is pertinent, and if companies have pain , the channel partners are enabled and aligned to recommend abnormal. The solution does well in POV’s.

Cons

Competition is extremely fierce with so many vendors being “leaders in the space” and many of the reasons we lose deals are not being addressed. We dont lose Deals due to lack of phishing training - we lose due to not having anything for outbound, skin, encryption, etc. and other extra features are what cause customers to renew with incumbent. Also the bald man up top MDC needs to go back to leadership 101 classes - threatening your employees every meeting doesn’t work. No one respects that , and no one responds well to fear mongering. You want to take away our territories go ahead, not like anyone is hitting quota anyways.

Unbelievably terrible leadership and management

Pros

Full remote Decent pay for remote

Cons

- Incredible thrash because leadership has no vision or idea how to successfully accomplish goals. Desperately trying to make things now that was asked for years ago because they pursued bad bets which is delaying IPO. Always a desperate, sprint vibe instead of gradually building to a vision. - "Leaders" are yes-men or they are cut. - Managers are mostly empire builders. Provide literally nothing and farm the credit from their productive workers. They do not build real teams or people. Magically only get promoted or get good reviews. - Extremely toxic culture. You are just a code-monkey, nothing else. Come here if you just want to turn off brain and code whatever they tell you. That's all you have to do. Doesn't matter if you have to redo or things will break in a year. Just code and be quiet.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, though we're disappointed to hear it's been frustrating. We understand and value the role leadership plays in the employee experience at Abnormal. While we know that priorities can shift quickly at our rate of growth, we work hard to prioritize transparency about our vision and roadmap through our weekly updates, monthly Town Halls and departmental All-Hands meetings, and to support a culture where employee feedback is heard, valued and actioned against. We will share this feedback with the appropriate leadership teams, and encourage you to share through our internal feedback channels as well. Thank you for your commitment to Abnormal, and all that you do to make us great. - Abnormal People Team

Pros

Product is solid, and there are a lot of folks in CS and Support that want customers to be successful. The purpose is inspired, and drives many of those working long hours to make the product successful.

Cons

Management has been hit and miss. Lay-offs and austerity plans have short-staffed a lot of teams, meaning folks have had to cover for 3 other employees to keep up. ISOs are only valuable IF the company goes public.
