      Pros

      Very flexible work setting and ideal for those that are looking for wfh situation. Company and teams are relatively small, so there is a lot of growth and stretch opportunities. Great product.

      Cons

      There seems to be a disconnect between leadership, and the values, and the reality of working for this company. There is a disingenuous projection of positivity, which don't match up with some of the actual decisions.

      Pros

      Lots of customer money being collected.

      Cons

      Nothing positive. Senior management is bunch of rich ego maniacs. Product interesting when it works. Sweat shop. Saw things that are completely illegal. Nobody in HR cares. No leadership skills. It’s just a secure email gateway. Not as important as company thinks it is. Some good people. Many are too scared to speak. Actively looking to get out.

      Technically interesting, toxic environment

      Pros

      - Interesting technical challenges. Abnormal gives you room to advocate for yourself and choose projects that interest you. - Remote first environment. - Great for eager engineers that want to make an impact

      Cons

      - Some Staff/Principal engineers are toxic and not enjoyable to be around. - Long hours. I left Abnormal then was told by my spouse that they were considering divorce due to not spending enough time with my family. Arguably a part of that was me not setting boundaries while working at Abnormal. - While doing on-call, it's common to work 7 days in a row.
