Pros

- Amazing customer traction and satisfaction. There are new customers integrating and existing customers sharing stories of how they love the product every week! - Awesome mentorship and onboarding experience. - There are many opportunities for ownership and leadership for everyone. At Abnormal, you can quickly grow to become an owner of a feature or a product. - Company acknowledges team and individuals for hard/good work.

Cons

Startup experience is not for everyone. Because the company is still new, everything is still a work-in-progress from operations, tooling, and just about anything day-to-day . Company moves and changes really fast and every 6 months feel like a whole new experience. All of these are opportunities for a lot of growth, but these can be frustrating for some people.

Pros

- Abnormal has some incredible people on our team with a wide range of experience. From previous CTOs at other companies, to seasoned engineering ICs, to some of the best sales folks in cybersecurity, working with and being a part of an A+ team has helped me understand what it takes to build a worldclass product. - Growth opportunities and empowerment. As one of the more junior engineers on the team, it's been a privilege to work with a team that's incredibly smart, humble and relentlessly customer-centric. The culture at Abnormal encourages everyone to be a leader, and to be a better leader than they are today. - Experienced leadership. Senior leadership is comprised of serial entrepreneurs / folks who have seen other startups from early stage all the way through IPO. Very confident in their ability to execute and steer the company in the right direction. - Worldclass product. Abnormal is trying to solve a tough problem that no one else has been able to -- detecting and stopping the top 1% of email attacks and the #1 cause of financial loss in cybercrime. The efficacy of our product is a combination of worldclass ML modeling, infrastructure and product design. If anyone wants to learn how to build a worldclass product, Abnormal is one of the best places you can do that. - Covid. Company's response to covid has been great, putting people first and making sure that we are doing the right things to ensure that people are safe and feel safe in a covid environment. This has allowed us to work well even in a challenging pandemic.

Cons

- Very fast-paced. Things move really quickly so everyone is always wearing many hats as we try to grow individually to match the company's growth. Things are always changing (eng systems, company workflows and processes, etc). Every 6 months is like being at a different company. Definitely not ideal for everyone because things can get overwhelming or stressful.

Pros

CULTURE - The culture at Abnormal is second to none from the various Valley startups and FAANG companies that I've been a part of - that is due to the deliberate emphasis management has placed on building a culture grounded in 5 principles. COVID - With the challenges of the Covid pandemic, and with many new people joining remotely, the company has done a great job of leveraging remote WFH tools to have an easy onboarding experience, and making sure current and new employees feel as if they are in the office and get an A+ experience.

Cons

FAST-PACED - The work is fast-paced and it's not for everyone. But that work is very meaningful as we are helping make the world a better place by stopping cyber crime, and it's also a testament to the rapid growth Abnormal is going through.
