Pros

For those early in their career or transition into tech/product, Abrigo is a great environment to get your start. You are given ownership of products and projects on day one & extensive access to seasoned tech professionals that know the product and the environment inside in out. Managers are incredibly competent on both AUS and RAL teams and are committed to weekly 1:1's. It also feels that they are invested in you succeeding. If you're looking to learn quickly, take responsibility, and interact with customers; Abrigo would be a great fit.

Cons

Not many. Benefits are exceptional, salary is solid, and the culture is focused on problem solving as a team rather than titles. However, where the company could improve is communication of the orgs long-term view. Don't get me wrong, Abrigo is positioned well in it's market and will be around for years to come. However, as far the company's long-term plan and acquisition strategy, the message is at times unclear.

Pros

flexible work structure, unlimited PTO, managers who understand trying to maintain work life balance. The ability to raise your hand and volunteer for other projects and help out in other areas to grow your own experience. Great company if you are ambitious, willing to learn, willing to put in the extra time to become great at your craft

Cons

not for someone just looking to get a job and work paycheck to paycheck. The company provides many perks, but also asks for your best every single day.

Thanks for the thorough and kind review. In fact, you highlight all of the positives about our company and culture that I would mention if writing my own review of Banker's Toolbox :) Even your advice to management is spot on and a great reminder. I remember reading this review when first posted and have been trying to do a better job recently to ensure we celebrate our successes and great growth story. I hope you've noticed. Again, thanks for taking the time to provide feedback and, as you know, the feedback office is always open. Best, Wayne Roberts President and Chief Executive Officer

Technical Support

Pros

-Free lunch-daily menus offered a lot of good options. -Coworkers are great, if not the best part of working here -Great stepping stone if you are looking for a career track in software -Game room -Monthly happy hours

Cons

-The founding CEO left and that marked a change in morale and the steady stream of departures from the support team since then. -No career advancement in technical support. Since 2010, only 1 tech support rep was promoted out od support, everyone else was terminated, resigned or moved on to other employers. -The support team is not managed well. They have some good people but instead of building on that, the response was to add layers of management and account management and operations management when support headcount would have alleviated the pressure cooker -Stagnant pay

Thanks for taking time to provide us feedback. Excellence is one of our Core Values and we use the feedback to help us get better. I do wish you well in your next job and hope that it is everything you are looking for in your career. I actually agree with some of your feedback. The need for more/better processes, tools, and coaching in the support/operations team has been and will continue to be a focus area. We are experiencing massive growth and our ability to scale with that growth will be dependent on improving our processes, tools and systems. Despite that, our Penguins have done a great job of delivering excellent support to our customers and our NPS and retention is very strong and improving. As you know, we are making some changes right now to help us get even better. We are a meritocracy and I will not apologize for that. Penguins who perform at a high level and drive strong results are rewarded and advanced. Our culture, results, and Penguin retention are best in class. Can we get better? Of course we can and we will. Rather than quibble about some of the facts in your review, I will acknowledge that perception matters and your perception is represented above. We failed you as leaders, in terms of making you feel valued and ensuring you knew what we were doing, why we were doing it, and what it meant for you. And that is the biggest lesson I take away from your exit and review. I sincerely wish you the best and would love to chat more about it. The feedback office is always open. Best regards, Wayne Roberts Chief Executive Officer
