I worked on a project for Absolute Business Solutions Corporation (ABSc) for over a year and can safely say it was the most toxic, childish, and poorly-managed project I have ever had the displeasure of working. The project started out as a short-term surge but became long term after several extensions; however, ABSc management failed to address this change. Because we were still considered “short-term employees,” ABSc failed to provide us with employee evaluations or policies regarding company ethics and standards – such as harassment and non-retaliation policies. Additionally, we were not expected to take compliance training. All these issues created a hostile work environment rampant with harassment, bullying, retaliation, favoritism, and high turnover. Moving forward I would never suggest this company to a friend and will look back to the experience as an example of how not to manage a program or company.

ABSc is a newer company that is experience some growing pains. The business had some difficulties hiring the proper Program Managers and due to this several employees suffered. The company does have somewhat of a disregard for their relationship with the client and seems to place saving money above all else, even the client satisfaction. I have not received a performance evaluation even though I have worked for ABSc for quite some time now. I have witnessed some instances of unsatisfactory performance in coworkers, yet they have not been terminated. The final observation is with the recruiter that handled the hiring process for myself and several of my colleagues. The recruiter informed me that I would not be required to travel, as I had mentioned as one of my concerns when considering employment with ABSc. When I began working, I discovered that I would be required to travel as part of my employment despite my other obligation which I had made ABSc aware of. I believe another review mentions another instance of a recruiter from ABSc not being honest. I have also heard complaints from most of my colleagues regarding 'broken promises' that their recruiter made. This is not meant to reflect anything negative of the Recruiting Manager, every time I spoke with them it was a positive experience.
