Run Away

Pros

Office personnel and clinical supervisors are friendly, very nice and easy to work with. They make the nurses feel welcome and appreciated. They are also sympathetic to the nurses having to deal with the horrific computer software program used by this company.

Cons

The computer software program used by this company for their nurses notes is the worse I have ever been exposed to. It is called Home Care Home Base (hchb). It is not user friendly at all, very complicated, ridiculously redundant and time consuming, so much so that it takes away from valuable time that could be spent giving patient care. My advise to any nurse who is considering working with hchb is to run away as fast as possible.

Pros

I enjoyed my job and working with patients. My supervisor I had was very understanding and he actually backed his workers when needed. Would do this job again.

Cons

Traveling, can have multiple patients and be stressful going from client to the next. Pay at the time was not the best. Some clients can be ornery.
