Pros

AccentCare is growing. Getting some new training. Person that called me spoke so highly about the company and the growth for these new positions.

Cons

Unprofessional HR experience. Took 2 weeks to get first interview. Met the Manager and they answered calls during my interview and did not think it was anything wrong with this? I was eager to work, thinking I could make a difference, yet I was wrong. Manager is so out of touch with so many day to day activities. Seems to answer to only on Leader and not a team, which is very odd in this industry? Usually you have a panel of professionals to go to?

Pros

They took me in as a newly certified CNA.

Cons

I accepted the position on the understanding that it was supposed to be per diem because I needed the flexibility. They called me all of the time, even when I was already with a client. Ok, I'm grateful for the work. The next thing I know the recruiter is calling me and lecturing me about not answering the phone every time one of the staffers calls. He basically tells me that if I don't want the work they can just let me go and to remember that he took a chance on me by hiring a new grad. I explained that I was already working 40 hours a week when I had only wanted to work no more than 20 and the reason I wasn't answering all of the calls, that was because I was with a client and that's considered unprofessional. They also refused to call for a relief when the original relief cancelled, leaving me with a client for over 19 hours. I found out that it is standard practice for the recruiter to call you up and lecture you if you do not jump at their every command. You also have to monitor your paycheck because they will try to pay you less than what you're owed. There was recently a suit brought against them of which they settled. I received $15 but it's the point that they are shady.

Pros

Lots of smokers, if you're one - one of the few health companies I know of with lots of smokers, especially in management and training

Cons

Horrible computer system, abuse salaried workers who have to take work home nights and weekends to handle the heavy work load, poor training for nurses (sent out a new nurse to admit a patient with a wound vac who had no training or experience with it). EXTREME high stress, lack of proper training, unhappy employees, and HIGH turnover. I was entitled to severance pay but HR ignored that - no response whatsoever.
