Avoid at all costs

Pros

Hard to identify any positives related to the firm.

Cons

Terrible leadership who pawn off all responsibility to middle management. CEO is spoiled brat son of anti-vaxing founder who died to Covid. Whatever book he read the prior week is now the guiding force for all activities within the org. No room for career advancement. Seek legal action against its own ex-employees. Brags on Christian ideologies but won’t even provide livable wages or competitive benefits to its tenured and loyal workforce. Small company with small minds. Predatory hiring of cheap, new college grads exploiting their work efforts and ultimately replacing once employees burn out.

A miserable place to work with a fundamentally toxic culture

Pros

People (excluding leadership) are generally kind and welcoming.

Cons

To call Accutech leadership a caricature of corporate wrongdoing would be a complete and utter understatement. Every decision is mired in a fundamentally broken understanding of how a company should work. We're talking nepotism and desperate yes-men who are so eager to make the CEO happy that they'll create such a toxic culture that the turnover of an entire company will happen cyclically. I had the displeasure of working at Intersection, an advertising agency Accutech acquired in its "philanthropic" pursuit of turning downtown Muncie into a company town. Promises made on the day of the announcement were broken within a week. It started by introducing the current Managing Director and Revenue Generation Strategist--two Accutech yes-men who act as if they're genetically predisposed to poor managerial decisions. Together, these two proceeded to completely overwhelm Intersection with net-new client work that we had no capacity to take on, leading to crunch and, ultimately, sub-par deliverables. Multiple calls to slow down on taking new clients until we were able to hire additional employees were met with more false promises. I stayed at Accutech's version of Intersection for around a year. In that time, there was no serious recruiting effort. AccuTech culture is fundamentally toxic. They believe their financial tech company is "God's company." You'd think that would come with genuine Christian values. Instead, you're met with backstabbing, lies, and sudden firings. I'm not sure God would approve of tearing away people's livelihoods just because senior leadership didn't like them. I’m not sure God would approve of spreading rumors about said people following their firings, either. Doesn't seem very Christian to me. I think the best way to illustrate the flaws of this company is in its incredible turnover rate. In my time at Intersection and in the weeks following my departure, 6 of my coworkers resigned. We were an 8-person team (not counting the Accutech plants). That's how bad things were. Fortunately, I'm no longer at Accutech and have found a far better employer that actually treats me with respect. If you're looking for that, too, I urge you to avoid any openings associated with this tangible red flag of a company.
