      Pros

      Learned a lot about what was sold.

      Cons

      A good talker could (and would) unload needless or inappropriate merchandise onto customers. I found this to be a poor practice but upper management did not seem to care.

      made some ok money down the shore .. $10/hr... able to still go to beach and time off while still making money

      Cons

      management is not the best i have seen.. but its a small town. just be on the bosses good side and youll do fine.

      Pros

      I worked at one of the local stores so all of the people I worked with were great and I knew everybody. My manager also allowed me to do an internship while there as a managment trainee which helped me land another job during school more in line with my major.

      Cons

      Because it was a store owned by a local family is was a fairly small operation and advancement rarely came along. There seems to be a distant connection between corporate and the family owned Ace's which would make it difficult for anyone who wanted to jump the gap.
