Pros

Pay, local, system is ok & easy work

Cons

I just got this job last month thanks to a referral let me say the Supervisor is sporadic & bipolar in the way he is with the team. brings his own personal problems and stress to the workplace no one wants to hear about a divorce and let it effect their performance as a boss. He has made some horrible decisions with the Team. Let go of one of the best we had, For unjust reasons… the citizens are aggressive and put hands on you. I’ve been in many altercations myself and witnessed how stressful and dangerous this field is since we have nothing to protect us. Because of the supervisors mistakes we’re all paying for it. This didn't need to happen The supervisor is to afraid to upset the department in anyway and treats it gently we cannot even complain, Ever. he made an unjust decision. Let me get this straight…So we can’t ask for help from Police because we run the risk of losing our jobs if we do so? mismanagement? I can see where the huge turnover rate comes from.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand that changes in scheduling, leadership styles, and the nature of parking enforcement can be challenging, and we recognize that this can create frustration. At ACE, our goal is to maintain a professional and respectful workplace, and we will ensure your comments regarding communication, decision-making, and safety protocols are shared with the appropriate leadership for review. We also recognize that interactions with the public in enforcement roles can at times be difficult. Our teams follow established safety and escalation procedures, and we continue to evaluate ways to support employees in the field. We appreciate you providing your perspective, as it helps us stay informed and continue focusing on clear communication and a consistent work environment.

Pros

This job offers lots of flexibility, as well as opportunities for overtime, and would be great for those who enjoy predictability.

Cons

This job has seriously taken a toll on my mental health. I wish I was lying when I say there’s new drama everyday here, a lot of it stemming from the supervisors who constantly disrespect their employees by belittling us, often taking over 30 minutes to give us bathroom breaks and receipt paper refills, disappearing mid-shift and not being there when we need assistance and event information, and much more. We all have to, practically, walk on egg shells as to not upset the assistant manager who has violent mood swings and says really inappropriate and hurtful things to everyone beneath them. Several reports have been made about this person but nothing has been done; their behavior is enable by the main manager who lacks leadership ability because they’re unable to handle and mediate conflict. In my opinion, every supervisor is extremely inadequate because of their constant tardiness, rudeness to their employees, lack of commitment to their job duties, lack of organization, and overall unprofessionalism. And the attendants are no better; new rumors are started and spread everyday, a lot of them refuse to do their job, making it harder for the ones that do especially, when management lets the bad apples get away with poor behavior and an even poorer work ethic out of fear of upsetting said bad apples. Employees verbally and physically fight, and no mediation or consequences are given. We’re often expected to implement changes we were never made aware of, and chastised because of it. Supervisors rarely communicate new rules and policies, as well as important information regarding the events taking place; additionally, they’re often very clueless about event names and itineraries. I could go on forever but I’ll end by saying this: please, do not apply here. This job will become a major stressor in your life.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that your time with us was difficult. Your comments raise several concerns that we take very seriously. We strive to provide a work environment rooted in respect, collaboration, and open communication. It is disheartening to learn that you experienced instances where these values were not upheld. We are currently reviewing the behavior and conduct of our leadership team to ensure all supervisors and managers are held to professional standards. Your remarks regarding inappropriate communication, delays in assistance, and lack of support are deeply concerning and will be addressed internally. Due to the seasonal and event-based nature of our operations, we frequently onboard and train new team members. This results in ongoing training cycles, which can present challenges in communication and consistency. We recognize this can cause frustration, especially when key updates or procedural changes are not communicated clearly or promptly. We are actively working to improve internal communication and leadership accountability to better support our frontline staff. We also understand the difficulties of maintaining a cohesive team when there are attendance issues. Unfortunately, when employees do not show up for their scheduled shifts, it significantly impacts team performance and morale. We are continually refining our approach to attendance management and accountability to minimize this impact on dedicated team members. While we regret that your experience with us was negative, your feedback is invaluable in helping us identify areas for improvement. We are committed to building a healthier and more supportive workplace for everyone, and we thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.

Ace doesn't care about their employees. Every year they make it more and more difficult, Depending on your direct manager it could be a great team or it can be horrible. They don't care about the future of their employees

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We genuinely appreciate your contributions during your 10 years with the company. We understand that each employee’s experience can vary depending on multiple factors, including their direct leadership. While we strive to maintain a culture of support and growth across all levels, we recognize that individual experiences may differ. However, it’s worth noting that many employees have built long, successful careers here, taking advantage of internal advancement opportunities that reward those who demonstrate the skills and desire to grow. If the company did not value employees, we would be curious to understand what motivated you to stay for over a decade. Longevity often suggests that something about the company—whether it be career opportunities, colleagues, benefits, or company mission—was meaningful enough to stay. Additionally, promotions are based on readiness, skill set, and willingness to take on greater responsibilities. Some employees seek growth into leadership roles, while others prefer to excel in their current positions without desiring a promotion. Both paths are respected, and success is defined differently for each individual. We regret that your overall experience left you feeling this way, but we are proud of the many employees who continue to thrive within the company. If there are specific concerns you believe could help improve our workplace, we encourage open and constructive dialogue, as we are always looking for ways to enhance our employee experience. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
