Unprofessional and bad company culture. Don't walk , run from this place

Pros

The only pros are the lies you hear when accepting your position. They tell you their will be room for advancement but the only advancements/ promotions are having you cover another shift / job while people continue to walk out! In my 20 yrs in the industry I've never seen such turn over. They say it's "the industry" and blame the high turn over on the culture of machining . It's not this way anywhere else!

Cons

Everything at Acero is a con. The management/ownership is very unprofessional and disorganized. They are always scrambling because people quit w/o notice due to unfair treatment. The environment is very I unhealthy because everyone is so unhappy there. They are currently building a new facility, which is said to be beautiful on blueprint. If the company put half the time into their employees as they did talking up the new building they may have a shot at turning around company culture. This is doubtful. This company is concerned with one thing, the bottom line. They are not concerned about their valuable employees. Seeing this ahead of time is impossible, maybe the only way to prevent others from my mistake is hopefully having this review out in the public eye.

It actually hurts to read a review like this. We work very hard to provide a caring and engaging workplace and in a few sentences it looks like we just don’t care. The leadership team believes it is important to communicate to potential job seekers and most importantly to our existing workforce that people really count at Acero Precision. Nothing at our company is a “con”. There is no reason to mislead or otherwise misrepresent any aspect of the job or the opportunities that are available. We are successful. We are expanding 2nd and 3rd shifts to meet customer demand. Acero Precision has experienced steady and consistent growth over the years. In fact 11% compound annual growth 20 years is a row. We are now 100 strong. We challenge you to embrace our core values – Customer Focus – Continuous Improvement – Accountability – Honesty – Integrity – Discipline – Respect – and join us in our efforts to be the very best.

A small company with no room for advancement.

Pros

They let you setup machines and often adjust programs which helps you learn more about machining.

Cons

Bad management. They suddenly cancel annual reviews without explanation. They can't find anybody to work for them so they often force employees to do over time. Very high turnover.

This reviewer stayed with us for more than 5 years and maybe still employed, something must be right! Yes, there could any number of reasons for a change in a review schedule but never without explanation. They are always completed perhaps at a later date but completed The opportunities for advancement are abundant for those that bring value, we have staff that started at $10 per hr. and after bringing value over the years now have six figure incomes – that’s an opportunity for advancement. All of our employees are given the opportunity to work overtime no one is mandated. Schedules are not changed very often so for example if you asked at time of hire for 5 nine hour days then yes we do hold on to that schedule. Finally employees that achieve 5 years of employment gets $500 gift and those that make 10 years $1000. We have many that employees that have achieved the 5, 10, 15, 20 , 25 and 30 year milestones!

Excellent pay and an overall prosperous accumulation of growth.

I really don't have anything negative to say about such a financially successful company.
