Pros

-hard-working and dedicated teachers -motivated students

Cons

- standardized, scripted teaching style that allows little variation -paranoid & negative climate – staff are encouraged to swallow any disagreement or dissent -"drink the koolaid" mentality, little authenticity encouraged -inexperienced, young teachers who receive little education in pedagogy beyond charter school styles and philosophies - little support in providing culturally responsive teaching - "no excuses" style means being a constant police presence in the classroom, micro-managing students
