Pros

I've been with Core Foodservice for over 2 years and have been allowed to grow extensively in becoming part of the Distribution Team and now a mentor. It has been very fun to learn foodservice at this level and within both sides of distribution and client success. The client trainings and Core Foodservice chef trainings are imperative and have been beneficial to keep the operators and distribution relevant with new and innovative ideas.

Cons

A downside would be some overnight travel time. I went into this career with Core Foodservice knowing that, so it was not a surprise. However, it's the only con because I love this job and the fact that I enjoy what I'm doing for a living each day.

Pros

1. They really do provide support in any area they require. Meaning they will not ask you to do something with out resources to complete the task. 2. Very supportive company in general. 3. They are willing to recognize hard work .

Cons

I feel like the position needs to start out at a higher wage to compete . I strongly feel that the values of this company are also directed on us as the employee as well as what brand we are representing.

Pros

The organization as a whole shows potential to be that company to work for, but with each competitor it acquires, they do not transfer over the "core values" they brag about. They do offer employee appreciation, if you know how to find the website it's on and actually have a manager who knows and shares enthusiasm to do so. Most of the departments are solid and have great managers and training..... most.

Cons

Low pay (pays well BELOW market value), no hours, will never have a secure job with the company due to random forced transfers to new companies acquired and random layoffs, no real conflict resolution with new management from acquired companies due to no training for said new managers, NO CHANCE OF ADVANCEMENT.
