Pros

Loved the job. No office, no cubicle, no one over your shoulder. Interesting work and schedule was somewhat flexible.

Cons

Company has no regard for lower level employees. Expectations for travel are unrealistic in relation to pay and mileage reimbursement. Communication between upper level management, mid level management and employees is not what it should be. Upper level management manipulates mid level to mislead employees.

Pros

This particular position offers good work/life balance and the work itself is rewarding. Health insurance is pretty decent. Most of the employees are genuinely good people and strive to help one another.

Cons

Management of the foodservice division, of which I work, is completely disconnected from Jacksonville but is still subject to it's restrictions. No pay raises ever! Their compensation package is nowhere close to industry standard and they are very close to losing and have lost many employees as a result. A bonus program is mentioned semi-frequently by middle management as a way to keep everyone placated but Jacksonville won't address the issue which means there will be no bonus program. Acosta was also bought by another equity group so of course there won't be any expenditures on employees.

Pros

Flexible schedule, independent work, interesting assignments with lots of variety, peers are hard workers, better chance of getting regular hours than other places (like Acosta), good mileage reimbursement, good management. Gives you a unique view of retail and supply chain logistics. Once you know how to read a plan-o-gram, you've got a good qualification for other work. You'll work without ever meeting senior management and your own manager rarely.

Cons

No raises, ever; no chance for full-time, you'll work with a few oddballs, if you've never done this, it is up to your teammates to volunteer to train you and you have to just jump in and go as fast as you can.
