Pros

Can’t think of any pros

Cons

Do not work here unless you want to be in a Costco or Sam’s Club on a daily basis. They advertise their job posting falsely.

Dear Sir or Madam, We’re regretful to hear that your time here at Acquire was not enjoyable and wish we could have provided you a more positive experience. It’s unclear if you took any opportunities to have a one-on-one discussion with our management team regarding some of your concerns, but if you didn’t we will gladly address them in our response to your feedback. However, if you did take advantage of our management team’s open door policy and voiced these concerns regarding our job listings, you sadly were not given the proper information. This is a matter we will discuss thoroughly with management to ensure everyone employed by Acquire is properly equipped to speak on behalf of any job listings that may be up for question. Due to the NDA between our company and our clients, we cannot formally promote our clients’ names anywhere within our website nor in our online job listings. We are in hopes that in the near future our clients will grant us permission to advertise some of their names online outside of social media and review responses. Although we are unable to disclose a list of clients on our website, we do state that we work alongside “big box retail stores.” This can been found in the "Clientele" section of our website, www.acquireraleigh.com. Most of our review responses, some of them very detailed, cover exactly what we do, which you touched on yourself in the above feedback – We are sought out and hired by our clients to promote their services or products inside membership clubs such as Costco and Sam’s Club. Within our extensive clientele list you will find trusted, household brand names like Apple, Samsung, and Google, to name a few. Again, if you took advantage of the available one-on-one time with management while employed here to discuss our job listings but feel as though you were given false information, we will directly address this with the management team. Regardless of whether or not you voiced your concerns during your employment with us, this is a great opportunity for us to brainstorm on ways we can improve our job listings to eliminate as much gray area as possible for applicants. Thank you for your feedback and giving us an opportunity to discuss the reasoning behind certain aspects of our company’s online presence. Hopefully we’ve been able to clear up any confusion we may have caused on our end! Best Regards, Acquire HR Dept

Pros

The people are welcoming and nice (until you dont sell what you're expected to).

Cons

Do not plan on this as a long term job. If they do not like you or you cannot sell their product you will be gone in the first couple weeks. The turnover rate is so high because they release people at the drop of a dime or the new-hires quickly find out exactly what acquire does (there is a reason they are ALWAYS HIRING). At acquire you will not be doing any kind of marketing you will be working inside a Sams Club or Costco selling cell phones and direct tv. You don't get paid like they say you will in the interview combined with making you drive all across NC with no gas compensation(I was spending half my paycheck on driving to Fayetteville every day). They push you to get promoted and the promotion means absolutely nothing. Please think twice before taking this job. Just trying to help others not make the same mistake I did.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for your review. We’re glad you were welcomed at Acquire by a team you enjoyed! However, we regret to hear your feelings toward us shifted as you spent more time here. In regards to your advice to, “not plan on this being a long term job,” we attract a younger demographic, and a study performed by Career Builder in 2017 showed 25% of young adults would have held at least 5 different jobs by age 35. As stated by the Harvard Business Review, “Millennials are consumers of the workplace. They shop for jobs that best align with their needs and life goals.” “Job hopping,” has become a social normality and is not necessarily a bad thing if it allows one to find their career development footing. For Acquire, partnering with new clients brings new markets in different areas, and in order to meet the demands, we must always be hiring. As for the marketing aspect of our company, most people hear, “marketing,” and think of creating and sharing content on social media or other media outlets in hopes of their target audience seeing their brand and buying their product or idea. Marketing comes in many different forms, and while we do not conduct large scale media marketing campaigns for our clients, we are able to market their brands and services in ways they couldn’t prior to partnering with us. How do we do this? We market our clients’ services, promos and products inside big box retailers such as Costco and Sam’s Club. This is done in an effort to reach a larger audience, build loyalty between our clients and their customers as well as drive new revenue for our clientele. Business Dictionary and Wikipedia define marketing as: “A management process through which goods and services move from concept to consumer; Marketing is used to create, keep, and satisfy the customer.” This precise definition is a large component of Acquire’s offerings. The clients we work with have locations across the country and when a high demand isn’t being met in a particular market outside of our own we send our team to fulfill those needs. Those travel expenses are paid for by our company, which include, but are not limited to, airfare, car rentals and hotel fees. Part of our daily work schedule is traveling to clients within our market, and, we, like most companies requiring employees to travel within their territory, do not cover those travel expenses. While those particular expenses are not covered, they should be tracked by the employee and filed with the employee’s annual taxes, which will then be reimbursed. Finally, to state that our, “employee promotions have no meaning,” is simply your opinion. Our team members who earn promotions within our company have openly expressed how greatly appreciative and proud they are to receive them. The meaning behind our promotions is to recognize employees who are excelling and not only boost their confidence and motivate the rest of the team but also give them more responsibility and accountability in an effort to develop them into stronger businesswomen and men. With being promoted into positions of influence they also become eligible to receive PTO and other benefits. Again, thank you for your feedback and giving us the opportunity to explain our business a bit better for yourself and others! Kind Regards, Human Resources Dept. Acquire

Pros

I’m learning the psychology of marketing, consumer behavior & purchasing decisions. I like that everyone was willing to help and no one felt like they were above anyone else. I never felt like I was an intern. The managers told me throughout the hiring process that they would treat me as a full time permanent employee. In return, they expected me to treat my role as a full time position.

Cons

Waking up extra early on event days was sometimes a struggle. There is some driving involved, which some people are used to.
