Pros

This job caused me to update my business casual wardrobe, which I needed to do anyway.

Cons

Walking around a Sam’s Club or Costco badgering people to sign up for Direct Tv, cell phone service, etc, 5 hours at a time type of “marketing” Schedule and location changes can happen at a moment’s notice, (likely due to high turnover) and locations will be as far out as Fayetville. Mandatory 7-9 a.m. daily meetings where you are to stand in a room with no A.C., full of people, to get amped up role-playing sales pitches for the next experience out on the “field” (Sam’s or Costco)

Dear Sir or Madam, We would like to begin by thanking you for your review of Acquire. While your review may not all be positive, we are happy to see you still have a positive outlook on our company as a whole and glad you saw enough of something you liked, which prompted you to accept our job offer. In response to your review, we want to apologize if our daily meetings or any part of our work schedule was an inconvenience to you. As you know, we represent our clients within the membership clubs you mentioned in your feedback. Our form of promotional marketing and sales requires us to communicate face-to-face with our clients’ customers within those retailers. This information can be found on our website, www.acquireraleigh.com, within the ‘Clientele’ section and is also covered in our interview process. Our interview process consists of three separate “rounds,” during which we cover, in depth, all job duties the position entails. With that said, we are not without flaws and if we failed to thoroughly go over this during your interview, we sincerely apologize for any confusion we may have caused. Our clients are our top priority so if there are ever last minute changes to our schedule, it is most likely due to a client request/need or an employee of ours has an emergency schedule conflict that we are trying to work around. It would not be due to turnover rate. When it comes to our job listings, we take them very seriously and always want to be as transparent as possible. Promotional marketing, lead generation, leadership development and new client acquisition are also a large part of what we do here at Acquire, and are sometimes even more significant than the sales aspect of our company. This is why not all of our open positions have “sales” listed in the job posting title. However, after thoroughly reading and discussing your feedback with our Careers Department, they will begin carefully combing through our open positions that involve any type of sales or sales transactions to ensure those job postings include “sales” within the description as well as in the job duties. Hopefully we were able to provide some clarity regarding any concerns you may have had about Acquire. Again, thank you for your constructive feedback and we wish you the very best! Kind Regards, Acquire Human Resources Dept.

Pros

When I first started, I was impressed! Beautiful building, great location, seemingly nice people. However, that fades if you're at all aware and observant. You start out as a base and then quickly move up to "trainer" which you DON'T get paid extra for, and are given a team to manage. You're a manager with the SAME pay as the people you're bringing in!! No.

Cons

Everything. You're expected to attend morning meetings where the give you a super long pep-talk and make you feel good and then you spend the rest of the time going over what you already know. It's really repetitive and annoying. The pay is super low - $10 an hr UNLESS you sell more than $400 a week in products (which is sell phones at Sam's Club and Costco and BJ's - Those annoying people that bombard you as soon as you walk in the door just trying to get groceries). These things are NOT made clear during the hiring process. I asked MULTIPLE times what exactly I'd be doing and was given responses like "we work with top providers in box retailers to provide an experience unlike all others to the customers". Fancy, I know. I was intrigued. But it's all a scam. PLEASE listen to these reviews. We're telling the truth. Acquire regularly asks its brainwashed employees to post reviews to help combat the bad (truthful) ones. I didn't listen - it was a mistake.

Dear Reviewer, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. As is common with all of our employees, Acquire takes the time to conduct three separate interviews over the course of 48-96 hours. During that time, all offerings are covered, including travel, benefits, and compensation (which would also include time grace periods to receive those benefit options). We can read that you feel this was not made clear to you, and we will take this into consideration and our hiring practices moving forward. For your reference, Glassdoor offers the feature for employers to invite employees to write reviews about their experience! We understand right now is a hard time for many Americans with the pandemic. With this unexpected crisis, many businesses, much like ourselves, are faced with hard decisions, which includes employment. We expect this time is difficult for many of our prior employees who were laid off during this time. Though your experience was not what we would like to read about, we appreciate your feedback and wish you felt comfortable to approach either the management or administrative team to express your concerns. We wish you the best during this time and in your career search. Acquire Human Resources Department

Pros

The opportunity in this company is endless, I am still young and so I don’t have the experience that most companies require before starting. Being able to gain that experience here and develop my skills has really helped me grow professionally and advance in my career. The schedule is not always the same every week when working which is convenient because I can schedule appointments during the day and not have to take off from work to be able to make it. It’s a non seniority based company so they give you the chance to grow and develop a career for yourself, with a fair chance. They are patient during your training and make sure you feel confident working with the clients.

Cons

Work related travel is normally approached last minute and as much as I would like to go to other cities and work there, I am unable to change my schedule outside of work to be able to go.
