Pros
Really great to get your foot in the door if you're straight out of college and interested in sales/marketing.
I obviously learned a lot about how to marketing and represent different big name brands like Apple and Samsung and how to make/close sales but didn't expect to learn as much about how to make solid connections with people. Also didn't expect to learn so much about how to network and knowing who to talk to, the right things to ask, etc. so I get the most out of it as possible.
I never put too much thought into those types of things before working at Acquire but now I see how far they can take me in my career if do it correctly.
On a weekly basis I find myself implementing something I learned while working there, which is a good thing.
I think as long as you let the guard down and open up to what all there is to be learned, you'll find way more benefits than just learning how to do the daily tasks at hand that you applied for.
Lastly, I started working at Acquire right after moving to Raleigh and didn't know a single person so I really liked that everyone would meet up once a week to play pool or just hangout because it made me feel more comfortable in a new area. It made a huge difference!
Cons
The job isn't rocket science but some people just have a natural talent for sales and marketing and others have to work a little harder to be good at it. Everyone at Acquire moves quickly and if you don't you'll get left behind so if the work doesn't come natural for you and you're not open to the help or training they give then it just may not work for you. It's the nature of that industry but something to keep in mind if you're more on the timid side.
