Pros

I felt like a member of the Action family from day one. The team were open and friendly to new comers. Many of the paramedics weren’t shy in sharing their knowledge. It’s a team effort so when you succeed everybody succeeds. The hours were a little wild but nothing too extreme.

Cons

You know what issues that need to be fixed. Hopefully you focus on your weak points and do what needs to be done to make the needed changes.

Pros

You get as much experience as you want, as soon as you want Management is great about making sure everyone stays up-to-date on their trainings and everything we might encounter when on call Training is continuous Other EMTs are a great source of knowledge You’re encouraged to ask a lot of questions, especially in the beginning

Cons

The hours are intense I recommend seeing a therapist if you aren’t already, some of the calls will wreck you inside

Pros

This is the place to go if you’re looking for 911 experience. The hours and pay is consistent. You can easily work your towards a raise though you probably have to make it known that that’s what you’re after. Despite what some of these reviews make it seem, this isn’t a bad company to work for. As long as you do your job they’ll take care of you.

I haven’t experienced any cons to date.
