Pros

I came onboard the Action Ambulance team with little to no experience. Two years later and I was happily able to leave the company on good terms to take on bigger and better opportunities. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the foundation I built at this company. I recommend them highly.

Cons

Primary reason why I left was the pay. It was good at first but as with any profession you’ll eventually want to make more the better you get at it.

Pros

- Used to have a family style to the environment. - Used to have quality supervisors. - Can work plenty of overtime.

Cons

- Sub-par documentation software. - Plays serious favorites. - Appoints supervisors that have been at company for less than 6 months just because they requested it, but yet got fired from their last position at another local company which was a supervisors role. - Always cheapest everything. Trucks consistently breaking down. Equipment failing but being "repaired." - Lies about having their employees as customer first. - Required ALS for issues that do not require ALS. - Inconsistent scheduling and being moved from one location to next without communication. - Lazy supervisors who do nothing but hang around to get pain under the guise of "supply." - do not allow you to do your actual job. Supervisors will respond to calls that sound exciting but refuse to respond to something of a simple nature. - The smallest things will set supervisors off and you CANNOT be honest with them about anything. When you are you'll get written up or sent home. - Refuse to use state documentation software. - Buy all used trucks and equipment with thousands of miles on them. - knowingly violates 911 contacts to appease transfer hospitals. Will refute this and get angry when you bring it up.
