Pros

Cool office, casual dress code.

Cons

Upper management will change your comp plan every quarter and quotas are becoming unattainable plus no career advancement, they would rather look outside the company than inside with employees that know the job.

Pros

Some nice and cool customers

Cons

They have a poor business model. They force clients into terrible contracts and offer them bad customer service. They over sell their product and their company as a whole. Their is a top to bottom fear affect that causes managers to freak out about their quota numbers instead of improving their teams sale skills. I was a succesful sales person at Active and I can still say that it was a horrible experience. The money is not even worth it. They are the most un innovative software company in the world. They are not improving their product, but they get stuck arguing about how to make as much money as fast possible. The CEO is completely sales and money driven and does not care about his team at all. You will be placed on a team with a manger who has probably been placed their because everyone who was good from San Diego chose not to go to Dallas. The majority of these Managers have had poor training and low industry knowledge. They pump up the sales team with funny motivators like a trip at the end of the year and a huge sales kick off that is a total waste of money. Overall terrible business model and poor leadership.

Pros

There is a relaxed dress code, unlimited coffee, and a nice view of Dallas from the office.

Cons

Stereotypes run strong here. Sales is dominated by bro's who love comparing squat styles and pre-workout combinations for maximum results while making calls and trying to land a big deal. The cash machine, open floor design, and automated bell for each deal closed have more than one person comparing the 26th floor to the Wolf on Wallstreet. Come work here if you want to be a part of that. Otherwise, run far, far away. Benefits are TERRIBLE - it's catastrophic insurance only. Compensation is okay, good if you have good territory and are able to meet quota. There is a push to work until the point of burnout, and it is applauded to work crazy hours rather than have outside interests. The number of beer bellies is quite funny for a company that is called ACTIVE. Yeah, active in 12 oz curls.
