Active allows people who are interested in Active lifestyles (and live in Texas) to work on a product related to their interest.

Cons

Since being over-run by cut-throat leadership the soul of this company has all but vanished. The current leadership is saturated by those who simply lasted or were willing to engage in somewhat questionable decision making on a personal and business level. As a means of squeezing every last penny out of the operational cost of the business with the exception of executive salaries the company has been moved to Texas where the if you look hard enough you will find some rather interesting incentives moving through the books. At the end of the day the Active Network has become completely shady.

Prior to Vista buying this company, this was a great environment with mutual respect- the employees worked hard for the old leadership team, and the leaders cared about the people. The workers represented what the company stood for ..."making the world a more Active place." Now- it's WORK, WORK, WORK. No work/life balance and lots of folks completely stressed to the max. The only thing missing is a whip ....

Cons

It's ALL CONS now at Active. There are very few people left with knowledge on how this business runs. Since hundreds of employees have left- all of the knowledge has left with them. No one knows processes, procedures, customers, etc. It's just work, work, work. Figure it out- and hit your quota. If not- YOU ARE OUT. No managers or leaders take the time to know the people. They don't care.

Pros

Great pay for many of the entry and mid level positions. The corporate wellness program is a great way to bond with co-works and offers some great discounts on merch and events. The new downtown office is at a great location. Training program is very indepth. However, a lot of the "culture" aspects they try to sell you on turn out to be false. Great place for young singles to work.

Cons

The company is very vague in all their communications with new hires and chances are you will not end up doing the job you were hired to do. Their lack of providing information is very intentional from the recruiters and from the managers during the hiring and training process. Expectations are not consistent from one person to the next. Many of the sales quotas seem to be pulled out of thin air, have no historical basis and reaching 100% is almost impossible. Regardless of what you are told during the interview or training everyone in sales will have to make cold calls. The recently changed the type of insurance plan only offer a HSA plan with no option for a traditional PPO.
