Pros

ACTIVE´s products are top notch - with Vista Equity owning the company you can be assured that both the software and hardware products are evolving along side the developments in the endurance sports industry constantly. I have worked 2 years there and the products are completely different now as when I started there. If you´re willing to adapt quickly, you can make territories and clients your "own space" and be very successful.

Cons

- With the HQ in Dallas, the US market is of course priority. However, if you work in ACTIVE´s satellite offices, it can be difficult sometimes to get ideas through to the senior management level - in Europe ACTIVE is the leader in the UK and there is a lot of potential to be successful in other countries. the local adaption however needs to be better in order to beat barriers of entry. European competition is moving fast as well.

Pros

Overall my experience working at ACTIVE was a positive one. Great people, a fun working environment, good work/life balance and a genuine opportunity to quickly develop skills on the job. I felt, for the most part, that management had my back and were very supportive, even when I eventually decided to look elsewhere. From a social perspective, it was awesome! Many of the team organise group runs and there’s always someone around for a drink after work. Generally, a great professional experience which has ultimately led me to my current role.

Cons

I was a little frustrated by business decisions made at a higher level which our office didn’t seem to have any influence over. Having said that, I believe this to be the case at most international companies with 2000+ employees.

Pros

Overall I had a positive experience at ACTIVE. I worked there for six years and was treated well and paid well. My managers were very supportive and always went to bat for me. I worked with a great team of colleagues on the product and technical side.

Cons

Overall I think ACTIVE is typical of many companies in the High Tech industry. High stress, high pressure and numbers driven. This is the industry. It's not ACTIVE.
