Shady business practices

Pros

Lots of different job roles

Cons

Shady marketing tactics. The CEO gave employees Thurs and Fri off on labor day weekend and brags about it as "I gave everyone 5 days off", now he was part of a blog post that said they followed suit with the big companies like Nike and Linkedin and gave employees a WHOLE WEEK off. Also emailed all employees giving a template on how to post on social media that they were given these days off for mental health. This has all been shady. Everyone I work with is miserable. I don't recommend working here.

Pros

Lot of young people with similar interests like going out and drinking, working out, joking around a lot in the office. You can write your own paycheck for the most part if you put in a lot of extra time. Many people make a good living right out of school.

Cons

There are a lot of problems with diversity and discrimination in general. Employees are taught to avoid candidates with certain ethnic backgrounds or from certain countries. People would use letters to code candidates in the system, the codes would usually include someone’s race, gender, size, age etc. People said it helped them remember who the candidate was but it was also used to make sure we didn’t send certain races to clients who asked us to discriminate. There was no diversity in the office or across the company for the size of the company you would expect more. We didn’t have workplace harassment or diversity training. There were many work related drinking events usually a couple a week. There were always inappropriate things going on at those events. Executives would participate when in town. If you complained about the behavior you were told that “it’s part of the culture”.

Addison Group Response

We sincerely regret that your personal experience with Addison Group was a negative one and appreciate your taking the time to speak up. We certainly don’t claim to be perfect, but we take every single one of our business practices – and the behavior and conduct of our people – very seriously. We have zero tolerance for any degree of candidate discrimination as mentioned in your review. While we have made our stance clear on racism and discrimination, in light of recent events in our country, we are reexamining our practices around diversity and inclusion to continuously improve – critical to successfully building any great business today.

Pros

Decent training program. Coworkers are fun.

Cons

Rejection outweighs success. The managers are cut throat. You're fooled by the description of the job. You cold call and push for numbers all day. I wouldn't ever work here again.
