Pros

Its totally up in the air here. You may have recruiting skills ...or none at all. You may be professional ...or a complete slob. Anyone has a chance here, just don't get comfortable.

Cons

I had recruiting experience, great references and lo and behold got the job! I started training and hadnt even done ANYTHING ON MY OWN YET ( except politely to deny the deluge of alcohol that runs through this place), and oops my boss had a gut feeling I wouldn't fit in with his tightly knit group. Five days in. I received this news via a voicemail after work on Friday. Then I was treated like a criminal. Not even allowed to pick up my belongings. Yes I was angry but I not a lunatic I just wanted personal pictures and my office supplies. ie. I never got the office supplies back

Pros

Addison isn't a horrible place to start right out of college, just don't get too comfortable. In my experience, the mid-level managers primarily care and support their employees, but there's only so much they can do when the rest of the company doesn't share this sentiment.

Cons

I am very disappointed with how Addison Group has been handling Covid since the Summer of 2020 and unfortunately, it has only gotten worse. For a company that preaches “People First, Process Second”… and a former Addison employee for 5+ years, it couldn’t be further from the truth. I do not recommend applying, interviewing, or working at Addison Group. During the spikes of Covid-19 over almost the last 2 years, Addison Group has been living in a false reality. It’s obvious that Addison Group doesn’t prioritize the safety and health of its employees and their families. One way this is shown is the lack of communication to the employees when someone in the office tested positive. We weren’t notified until days, sometimes up to a week, after a positive case, and there was no further mandate instructing people to stay home. Furthermore, the decision to return to office in spring 2020 was a rush to judgment. Although almost all employees disagreed with this decision, the executive team forced, not suggested, all employees return to the office, resulting in a huge turnover of many long-term, valued employees. Not surprisingly, the prioritization of their holiday party, which doesn’t require proof of vaccination or negative covid results, is disappointing, irresponsible, unprofessional, and dangerous, and previous and current employees alike have all shared this sentiment. This mindset and lack of care for employees, even before Covid, starts at the top and will never change until there’s a major restructure within the organization.

Pros

- alcohol constantly - free food sometimes

Cons

- alcohol constantly - horrible gossip/mean girl mentality - misconduct ranging from sexual harassment to verbal abuse of employees from leadership - hemorrhaging top performers due to micromanagement and bad culture - highly deceptive about pay/commission structures - outright favoritism and unequal team treatment, ranging from reward structures to opportunity at the company - senior management behaves inappropriately without consequence, reporting to HR is not viewed as an option - no performance improvement plans in place for struggling new hires, they are just fired within their first 6 months - can, will, and has terminated employees as retaliation for seeking new employment
