Pros

There is really no pro to be honest. This company is a shipping sink.

Cons

Do not work here!! They take advantage of people who really need a job as they are desperate themselves. There are a number of things that is so wrong with this company, where do I even begin? To start off they are very disorganized. They give you a schedule just to take it away because they fail to confirm with clients first before giving that client to the aid. Secondly, their integrity is in question. They do not take responsibility for their mess ups and every single client I've seen has complained about them. They try to dump all of their problems on you to make it seem like it is your fault. Instead of placing you with the right clients that fit your experience bill, they just throw you with any client that clearly doesn't suit the aid. It seems like the employees are not even humans to them, just a number to fit the hole in their gaps. They have horrible time management and are very combative when you try to address some of these problems, even if you discuss it in a polite manner. One instance that really made me realize that these people are just cash grabbing, with zero consideration for the aids is when they scheduled me to see a guy who smokes. He smoked a e cig that had nicotine in it. I'm a former smoker myself so I don't want to be around it. I even asked about his situation, and they told me they didn't know. How do you not know your own client's condition and status. How unprofessional is that. When I told them about this, no understanding, so health hazard is nothing to them. They don't realize it's illegal what they did. I'm sure they've broken so many policies with me and other aids. It's ridiculous!! Apparently the woman who does the scheduling got mad and fired me because I told them I wasn't going to do it and it was like 20 minutes away from when I was supposed to see them. They try to dump it on me as if it's my fault when they didn't tell me so I had to find out he smoked last minute myself so my hands were tied. I had no option but not to go. The crazy thing is they shouldn't of put me in with these clients in the first place but then try to blame it on me as if I'm the one who just throws aids to random clients that doesn't match what the aid is capable of doing with the level of experience he/she has. All in all, these people will take advantage of you, they have a pattern of being so inconsistent with the scheduling so one week you'll be working full time but then next week you'll hardly work at all, barely getting 20 hours. Yet they blame all of this on YOU! The woman who deals with the scheduling is so combative and never takes responsibility. None of them, all of them clients that have complained, I've heard them talk about them and their exact words were "These people are just crazy." They will legit run their company to the ground if they keep this up. The funniest thing to me is they've explicitly admitted to me that they are losing a lot of clients? Hmm, I wonder why. Yet they cannot open their eyes to see who's fault it is, but they blame only the clients and aid. All in all you've been warned, whoever is reading and considering applying for this place. If you've recently got a CNA, work at a hospital, nursing home or something. The home-aid business unfortunately is a dying business and for a reason. Most companies not just addus have this "do whatever it takes to get things done at any cost, even at the expense of other aids and clients" mentality. It's sick and they're borderline abusive.

They set me up with a sex offender and things started spiraling downhill from there. Because of addus I'll resent them forever and will never work in caregivinf again. Also I quit and they lied and put it down as them firing me.
