Pros

Most of your team members are nice people and good to work with.

Cons

I have been with company 11 years. I have worked every position at store level. This company is flooded with nepotism. All the hiring managers from regional on down hire friends and family and then let them get away with anything. The only people held accountable are people they don't like for personal reasons. They will keep one toxic employee for years while they loose all their good employees because of it. If you are female and want a job all you have to do on is have sex with a manager and you will have higher pay than your coworkers also. They make new employees take computer training but no training by manage r s or other team members. It's sink or swim. The only upward dB mobility is for friends , family and sex partners. Stores will loose many team members and managers and district leaders will not even work in stores to help out. Stores are being run by people who can't even help customers with basic things. This company will lb be gone in the next 10 years. Thank God!

Pros

Easy work. Easy to transfer if needed.

Cons

Lack of supervision on General Managers. Lack of work ethic from General Managers. Fraternization Computers/Technology very out of date. Pricing not competitive enough. I was terminated for breaking my leg after working for this company for 5 years. After using an FMLA leave (3 months), I got the okay to come back to work from my doctor, but with restrictions because I was still healing, obviously. Advance Auto did not like that and would not accommodate me for icing breaks. They decided to terminate me. This company will not cover you when something goes wrong. I highly suggest not having a medical emergency/accident.

Pros

Easy work if you're mechanically inclined, NO PROS OTHER THAN BEING IN A.C. AND NOT BEING A LABOR INTENSE POSITION.

Cons

LIED TO BEFORE HIRING Limited hours(<28) no room to move up, only two full time positions available at my location, lack of store supplies such as basic writing utensils, obd scanners, no incentive to complete training, no incentive to sell because there's zero commission involved, paychecks don't pay the bills. NO OVERTIME, NOT EVEN A FULL 30/WEEK
