Pros

Expand knowledge of automotive parts and problems, if you're interested in that. Better view of what mechanics go through to source parts As part time, i've had no issue with requesting days off, so long as i provided sufficient notice. This could be good form someone that needs flexibility, provided you know some stuff about cars.

Cons

As seems typical with retail and companies like this, corporate has their nose in everything without really understanding the day to day needs of their employees. Typical retail work, so expect occasional customers that clearly have no idea how basic things work "No Ma'am, i can't replace your Duralast battery under warranty, this is Advance, not Autozone."

Good company gone bad - Corporate Review

Pros

Nice facility, on site cafe, competitive pay, nice people (aside from a few bad eggs who are new).

Cons

Morale is at all time low. Poor work conditions due to extra long response time to fire onsite. Good management has already bailed. Newly hired upper management are literally terrible people. Non ethical decision making. No investment in current employees for years. Can't really count on where the company will be located within the next five years. No bonuses (worth anything) for several years while stock goes up and up. Project managers and above receive stock options but everyone else below that, including the same level for individual contributors do not receive this. Benefits package gets worse yearly.

Pros

-If you're interested in cars, it's a great place to talk to people about them (co-workers and customers) -Good management of product, back stock well-organized. Computer system should tell you whether or not something's in stock (no digging through back stock). Could vary from store to store. -Only one truck a week, typically 3-4 pallets. -As a Mobile Parts Pro, you get to see "behind the scenes" in the auto repair industry.

Cons

-Low wages. Impossible to earn a living. -Hectic scheduling. Expect to work eight days straight across two weeks on more than several occasions. -Weird, cult-like corporate culture among management. -Forced to do worthless computer training. -Not much opportunity for advancement (albeit not necessarily non-existent). -Some co-workers lack automotive knowledge. -Installing batteries can be a pain (may have to do it in rainy weather). -Commercial customers can sometimes be extremely rude. -A lot to learn, leadership expects you to know how to do everything with little to no guidance (could vary from store to store).
