Pros

Purchases are discounted...but that lower price can be had as a walk in at any and all other stores. As a sale assistant, you get to sell some of the finer things in the auto parts world. Example parts and items include Needa Parts (versus Help parts), AutoCraft tools (versus any brand found at Harber Freight)

Cons

The "Open air Service Area" (from 100 degrees F to -20 degree F), where customers exploit free services (...do customer know prices are marked up for these "free" services?). Ignite Goal: now need to have a SPH at about 10 times your hourly wage. Not a true goal, nor does it have a chance of being sustainable.

Pros

Rich history of taking care of the Team - I've been here for 22 years and most of that time has been very rewarding. Historically we've always understood that it is the Team that decides whether or not we are a successful organization. There is also always substantial room for upward movement through the organization for motivated individuals.

Cons

The current Leadership has no concern for the Team. It's clear in every decision they make and it is painful to those of us who have given so much to watch. This isn't a "feel good" concern - This industry requires Team Members that are engaged to the success of the company in order to be as successful as possible. This Executive Team is comprised nearly completely of Best Buy Executives, and the ideas from Best Buy are not working. When they don't work, the Executive Team hires more executives........from Best Buy. Should we not be looking for new prospective at this point? Maybe an outside Executive reviewing Glassdoor will read this and offer the perspective that is needed....

Pros

Pay is OK. Team members can make your job easier. Customers are usually nice.

Cons

Every position above manager acts like they are better than you. They do not want to hear any complaints. Just do it. It started off at 50 hours with 1 hour lunch you don't clock out for, now you have to clock out. This added 5 hours to my week without extra pay. I do not get to spend any time with family. My schedule is not flexible. I have to work weekends and every Monday and Friday.
