Pros

This company makes sure that their employees are taken care of. Upper management has no issue speaking with a "lower tier" employee about an issue. Emailed questions are always answered promptly. Dr. Johnson the CEO takes call even when he's on vacation! The Physicians are a phone call away at all times. They are great about educating on an issue that you may know little about. There is always a custody officer with you while dealing with inmates, unlike working at the state level prison setting. The pay and benifits are the best in my area. It is nice knowing that I work for a company that I am not just "a warm body to fill a position". It is Correctional healthcare. Make sure you do your homework before entering this type of healthcare field. You have to be firm, fair, and consistent at all times.

Cons

I have none at this time. Any concerns I have had during my employeement have been taken care of immediately when brought to a supervisors attention.

Thank you for your review. I can see your specific feedback helping potential new hires have a good idea of what to expect when starting to work with ACH. Also, I am glad that any concerns you may have had have been prompty addressed. An an upcoming meeting, I will make sure to bring up that we should keep training practitioners to take the time to education and train when they are prescribing. I can see how this is valuable. Thank you!

Pros

The compensation is great.

Cons

HR enforces every employee to fill out good reviews on glassdoor. This is a family based business that only cares about taking care of their own. The training is inadequate. Trainers were not around for assistance as they were busy with work outside of the company. Administration department operates dysfunctionally as the manager has too much on her plate and cannot work with her employees.

Thank you for the positive words about compensation. We do actively work to pay employees a high rate in exchange for the work that they take ownership over. HR does not force employees to fill out Glassdoor reviews (it is quite impossible to do so because reviews are anonymous), though we do annually speak with Glassdoor representatives to consider purchasing a career page and review our account activity. We encourage employees to rate us on Glassdoor because many applicants have shared that this is a useful website for determine a company to go to but do not tell them or suggest what to write. It is unfortunate you felt your training was inadequate as an administrative assistant in the corporate office. There are several other administrative assistants, supervisors, former employees that have been promoted out of your role and human resources here to assist if additional training was needed. ACH has an open door policy and employees are never alone. Management staff and executives are available 24/7. With regard to your advice, we appreciate the feedback and we have already begun addressing it. Last year, our training committee identified Learning Management Systems and began working with vendors to choose the best one for our organization. Our training program is currently implementing the Learning Management System to allow employees to take training online with videos and interactive systems. Finally, with human resources in the building and managers on site in the corporate office, it is highly unlikely that you were not aware of performance issues prior to termination (assuming you were involuntarily terminated based upon your review). Being that ACH is an 'at will' organization there is no benefit to making up a 'fake reason' to fire employees. It is more of a benefit to ACH to train employees and help them to succeed to improve retention and decrease costs in filling an open role.

Pros

This company is dedicated to helping it's clients. Dr. & Mrs. Johnson are the nicest people, and are dedicated to making this a great place/atmosphere to work. The entire office Is amazing with helping when new employees have a question. I can see myself being here for the long haul.

Cons

As crazy as this may sound I have no cons to speak of. This company truly is everything I wanted when looking for a long term career.
