Pros

Co workers were great to work with, laid back dress code. Managers in our office were great mentors and knew what they were doing compared to other corp people.

Cons

You have no time to learn and grow into a better recruiter. If you don't get a little luck in the beginning they will let you go after 3-4 months due to not meeting metrics. Corp people in FL make all the decisions, managers in the offices have no say on your tenure with the company. Rise Medical should have never merged with Advanced. You have to live off of a high margin as a new recruiter which puts you at a disadvantage immediately, as other nurses know a diff company will offer them more money and perks. Nurses and hospitals also didnt know who Advanced Travel Nursing was which greatly affected them wanting to look at our candidates. You also got "job notifications" hours after other companies and by the time you submitted there was 5-10 other candidates. This is very key in travel nursing, trying to be one of the top submissions. You also have to make 100 legit calls min to get leads the next day, those leads 90% of the time would be old, completely wrong, or someone you couldnt staff or wasnt even a nurse.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. There certainly are growing pains with acquiring and merging companies. We are working through many items and making progress every day. Your advice on training is a valid point and we certainly want people to feel good about coming to work. The sales role can be challenging for the first few months. Thanks again for the advise.

Pros

There are good places to eat near by. Other then that, that's it. I really wouldn't recommend working here, unless you want a short term job.

Cons

You don't get enough training, and once you are on the phones you feel the pressure on you as they use fear of termination to motivate you. One guy I worked with made more phone calls then the class he started with but unfortunately for him didn't recruit any nurses. However most of the remaining people in his class didn't recruit any nurse also. He was terminated on the day 8 or so new recruiters were let loose on the phones. That was a scare tactic aimed at the new recruiters. That guy was a really hard worker and had the same results as anyone in his class! As for me, I was termed for the same reason but I had recruited two nurses at my time there. I made my calls, and even worked at home most nights as they expect you to do so. I gave it my all at this position and worked my behind off only for them to term me and send my nurses to a senior recruiter. That's how this company works. They hire you to get a few nurses and terminate you so they can give the nurses you recruit to senior employees. It's the same with the leads they send you. Bad leads to the new recruiters, good leads to the senior recruiters.

The Indiana office officially became part of Advanced on 5/1/2017. There is much excitement around this new partnership with many positive changes happening. We have made large investments to make it a fun, productive, work hard - play hard culture. We are also very much looking forward to growing our team with the large top talent pool in the Indiana area. I do very much appreciate your comments. We have greatly improved our training with our new structure and we are open to feedback to make it even better. You make some valid points and we will continue to focus on training, culture and fairness. To the fairness part, I would like to point out that when we do have to move a nurse to a new recruiter, it impacts our nurses greatly so we make strategic decisions to ensure we are doing right by our nurses. We value and respect our employees greatly but I am sure we can do more to show it. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your thoughts. This will help us be a better place to work.

Pros

During my time at Advanced, I have received amazing support from my Sales Manager and the corporate office. They have invested in each of the recruiters and offer ongoing training. Being a recruiter, I have learned so many techniques to become better at my job. The focus here is on supporting each recruiter to be his or her best while also focusing on making sure we are not merely sales people, but focusing on providing the best experience for each therapist we work with on a day to day basis. The opportunities for advancement are also very present in this growing company. I'm impressed by the vision of our CEO and leaders. This company has expanded dramatically over the past 28 years in the industry. We have offices in Florida, Colorado, Portland, Sioux Falls, and more to come. The emphasis is on a positive, respectful, and disciplined work culture. My co-workers are incredibly positive and supportive people. They also work very hard. It has been a fun atmosphere to work on in which positive gains are rewarded and highlighted and set backs are viewed as learning opportunities in which tools are given to become better. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a positive work culture, room for advancement, a great supportive management team, and not afraid to work hard.

Cons

The job as a recruiter is difficult at times as you need to constantly be keeping your foot on the gas pedal. However, this job can provide great rewards for anyone willing to work hard and has strong communication skills.
