      Pros

      Average pay for fresh graduates Health care is pretty good for a small company Good career stepping stone if you want to work directly for the client in 1-2 years

      Cons

      Management is only really there for HR and payroll; just about all technical management is done by the client Not too much of a career path available directly at ATR, most reasonable career options available via becoming an employee of the client

      Generally relaxed, informal atmosphere. Creativity respected and encouraged. Flat organization and broad scope for most jobs -- not compartmentalized. Many long-term staff.

      Cons

      Limited ability for a small business to take major financial risks. Fewer comp and benefits options than in a large public company.

      Pros

      If you’re lucky, you’ll get on a contract where your superiors actually do work and teach you things. I guess a paycheck is a pro.

      Cons

      No guidance. No assistance. No clear work load. Unresponsive HR department. ATR got rid of health insurance for an entire month while they negotiated between two different carriers. I think that’s just absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Promises of reimbursement does not make that okay. I’ve never experienced that in my career.

      Thank you for taking the time to review your employment with ATR. We appreciate all feedback former employees have to give and would like to address some of your concerns: ATR certainly did not “get rid” of healthcare insurance for a month. The company was subjected to an extreme post-enrollment rate hike by a new insurer. To mitigate significant cost increases, we returned to our former insurer, honored the employee rates announced at Open Enrollment, and ate all cost increases. The healthcare policy was retroactive to the start of the plan year. Was anyone uncovered, even for a day? No, of course not, we would never allow that to happen. We regret that this person’s experience in their working environment was not positive. Most of our employees have far more rewarding experiences.
