Pros

None. At all. Ever. Until they weed out the bad management.

Cons

Just look at the constant turnover in CM. Soc work dept skeletal in particular. Never works when RN is supervising Sws, even temporarily. Can’t even get enough travelers to come, not to mention all the direct hire openings. Good luck y’all.

Pros

Adventist is a faith based company and attracts some of the kindest, most genuine people. That is the one positive to working there. They do have great benefit package as well. The pay scale does not keep up with other hospitals in the Central Valley though.

Cons

The politics & business practices in this company are brutal. The best and brightest leaders are either laid off, or leave when they see the mess that they are caught up in. Layoffs in every department ( no one is safe) are 1-2 times per/ year since the company cannot effectively attract and retain patients. As a leader, you see & report all of the areas that are causing lost revenues/patient volumes, but the observations fall on deaf ears. Employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction at most sites is very low and nothing changes. The regional CEO just resigned, but there needs to be some shaking up in the direct ranks of AH Central Valley Hanford leadership. They push out anyone who is not afraid to passionately advocate for their staff and patients, and the more you care, the more at risk your position is. AH has incredible potential to thrive and provide BEST healthcare this community. But this starts with excellent leaders who aren’t in their positions because they’re all best friends looking out for each other. It’s so sad to see this company being ruined by the nepotism, dishonesty,& political games that are taking place.
