Pros

AeroGrow is in a great place right now – healthy food, local food, fresh food and grow-your-own. And now profitable.

Cons

AeroGrow does a lot with a small staff – sometimes requiring longer than normal hours.

Pros

Core leadership -- Mike Wolff and John Thompson -- are working their butts off to make good on a pretty good idea and technology.

Cons

Previous leadership overextended the company financially, used sincerity and earnestness to cover up for buying huge quantities of cheap products. Having the bulk of their money tied up in this stale inventory during the economic downturn was disastrous and left many good people out on the street in spite of their resumes.

Pros

AeroGrow was entrepreneurial and anxious to see its members take the ball and run with it. If you're a self-starter, it was a good fit.

Cons

Entrepreneurial environments have their downsides, and AeroGrow's lack of structure and focus sometimes caused problems.
